Here are some pictures from my lovely road trip that I took last month from Louisiana back to Oregon. It was amazing! It was so great to go through all the extremes of the south: bayous, farm and ranch lands, mountains, desert. I love it all! I divided it into two posts so it wouldn't be a total flood of pictures. The first part includes my swamp tour in Slidell, L.A., yes it was completely touristy and yes I completely loved every minute of it. The bayou is so beautiful, mysterious, and strange.I couldn't stop with the pictures..obviously. We also stopped at a "ghost-town" in the small part of New Mexico we drove through. It wasn't the way I imagined it was going to look but it was still super cool.
